Since the brand's beginning in 1946, Frionor has been dedicated

Frionor
was acquired in 2000 by one of the largest global at-sea processors
of Alaska Pollock, American Seafoods Group. This has provided
access to resources and harvesting technology, helping Frionor
serve the industry better. Today, Frionor is committed to growth
through the research and development of innovative, value-added
products.
Groundfish
Operations
American
Pride Seafoods' groundfish operation is located in New Bedford,
Massachusetts directly on the harbor. As one of the leading value
added seafood processors in North American, millions of pounds
of fish are processed each year consisting of battered, breaded,
precooked, coated, glazed, marinated portions, and natural fillets.

Harvesting
Our
groundfish operation has direct access to the raw material resources
of our parent company, American Seafoods Group. We source and
process five of the top ten seafood species preferred by consumers
in the North American market.
Processing
Our
groundfish operation's state-of-the-art facilities and staff are
dedicated to providing the market with the most cost-efficient,
quality products. Our research and development and culinary staff
is constantly seeking innovative product solutions for flavors,
textures, breadings and coatings.
A variety of cuts, forms and coatings run through our processing
plant daily. Each step is closely monitored, HACCP regulated and
quality controlled to provide the best product possible.
Scallop
Division
As
one of the leading scallop processors in North American, our fresh
and frozen Sea Scallop operation in New Bedford, known as American
Seafoods Processing, offers superior quality scallops both dry
and processed. Sea Scallops are harvested fresh off the New England
coast, processed right off the vessel and marketed under the American
Pride Seafoods brand in both frozen IQF and fresh packaging.
Harvesting
Scallop
vessels unload their fresh catch after it is harvested from the
icy waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. Scallops are unloaded
fresh directly on conveyors located on our harbor dock and transferred
into the plant where they are washed and processed.

Scallop vessels and their crews are trained to maintain freshness
of the scallops upon arrival at our dock. Each boat and crew adhere
to federal regulations by harvesting Sea Scallops within the alloted
days and in designated areas during the season.
Processing
Our
state-of-the-art processing facility guarantees the freshest quality,
sizing accuracy and some of the highest quality scallops that
can be found on the market today.
